My Story

In 2014, I was simply a mom with a big heart and a love for making things. Creating little personalized gifts for friends and family was my quiet joy—a way to sprinkle a little love into people’s lives. But looking back, that was the moment the spark caught fire.

As word spread, something beautiful began to happen. People didn’t just want the finished pieces… they wanted the experience. They wanted to create, to laugh, to paint, to gather. So I opened a DIY workshop—my happy place—where anyone could walk in, slow down for a few hours, and make something meaningful with their own hands. Those nights were filled with stories, friendships, sawdust, paint splatters, and so much joy.

And then the world shifted.

In 2019, closing the shop felt like closing a chapter I wasn’t ready to end. I remember locking the door for the last time with tears in my eyes, wondering what came next. But in that stillness, something became very clear: creating isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. And I wasn’t done.

So I pivoted. I reimagined everything. I took the heart of those workshops—the connection, the creativity, the joy—and found a new way to share it. I began designing DIY kits that could be shipped straight to your home, so you could experience that same feeling: the moment the paintbrush hits wood, the quiet escape, the creativity that fills your soul, the pride in saying, “I made this.”

Today, A Pinch of Salt is more than a business to me. It’s a piece of my story, a piece of my heart, and a reminder that even when life changes our plans, we can still create something beautiful.

Every box I design, cut, pack, and ship is done with intention and love. And every time you open one of my kits, I hope you feel what I felt in that workshop years ago—joy, peace, creativity, and the reminder that handmade things have a little magic in them.
